Christian music album review of Royal Diadem's ''Jesus Over All"

John Wesley Osborn of Royal Diadem just released his debut worship Christian rock album and, excuse me for sounding simplistic...but it rocks!!!

John Wesley is a versatile trained musician who has been involved in the Christian music worship scene for most of his life in various roles, professionally and informally, but the Royal Diadem project appears to be the dusting off of his dreams made real.

John Wesley says in his interview here, that he has been the worship leader in various musical ventures before and his collaboration and arrangement skills shine on this release as he orchestrates solid musical talents from various Christian music genres ranging from mainstream church praise and worship singers like Shelbey MacKay who adds a hymnal type counterpoint to the classic drive rock sound of metal that dominates the track.

Miggy Sanchez of Relent compliments Osborn's metal breath vocals brilliantly on the song, "Show Yourself Strong" which crescendos into a plateau of praise based on Psalm 68 and then drops back into cherished metallic semi-chaos featuring not only John Wesley but his long time buddy, Vincent Chodkowski on lead guitars.

And (forgive the cliché) last but not least, Jesus Over All, is held together by the slaying drum sound performance of Michael Osborn of Diatheke who pounds praise into rhythm that rocks the gates of heaven and probably makes the angels take notice.

Add an obviously talented production team to the mix and you get an album definitely worth checking out, buying and burning to your playlist. Plus I think I'll have to add a new category to my featured musicians list that highlights talents like John Wesley who can pull off and produce a collaboration like this that stretches through time and space. Any suggestions for a name?
