Christian Musicians Alive Wednesday Wrap

Hands Across the Water
It's December already and time has either stopped or is moving so fast that I can't keep up! Not only is there exciting news on the Christian music scene from across the pond, both generally and personally speaking, and in spite of the worldly media trying to convince us that all hope is lost, we as believers know that Christ reigns and the darkest of nights leads to the brightest of dawns. So let your love flow, chill and enjoy this mid-week wrap of assorted eye and ear candy delights.
Straight from Russian Siberia
Natasha Pushkova breaks ice and floats to the surface of the Christian music scene with her band, Seven Lamps, debut release called, "In my veins". Their sound is unique, refreshing and nicely produced and, along with her artwork for the music, demonstrates the finest of Russian mysticism and literary brilliance that can only be found on the far reaches of Caucasian consciousness. As she says in her interview, after a serious illness, God "gave her a melody" and a desire to share it with the world. And we are thankful in all respects for that.
NEWS FOR THEE AND NEWS FOR ME
Renatte Nkombo is a Michigan based, international gospel and soul singer who brings the unique flavor and color of the islands to her music and video productions. She proudly states that she is a US resident now and that is great but rejoice because this sister in Christ is an eternal resident and citizen of the higher kingdom of God.
So Brandon Weaver, one of last week's featured musicians on my blog, dropped this link on my Facebook timeline. According to this source, my start up blog which is now just a month old is ranked among the top 80 out of thousands of Christian music blogs in the world. I am very skeptical about these kind of things but what it means to me more than anything else is that the backlinks to my site are growing and the initial very hard but enjoyable work of launching the blog is now in the air and I can switch on autopilot once in awhile and work on my band's own music which has found an interested European record label to handle it. It's a small, start up label but any sign of recognition in this limited arena of show business is welcome and encouraging. Check out Patient Chill's pre-release promo site. The EP we are working on is a concept collection exploring the Christian response to the pandemic. For all of this and more, I give thanks to the Holy One whose throne sits upon Zion as He lovingly gazes upon His creation and desires to bless us more abundantly than we can ever imagine.
