Listen to Patient Chill's hit single, From Now to Eternity, celebrating the return of Christ and the welcoming of the saints into His glorious kingdom!
Christians Musicians Alive is pleased to feature contemporary Christian rock/pop band, ALL TOGETHER UNITED with Matthew Ide (lead vocal), Jeremy Leets (guitars) & Chad Hampton (drums/founder). Do give a read and listen!
Please tell us about your musical journey in Christ. How long have you been making music? Any formal training? Professional experience?
ALL TOGETHER UNITED is a contemporary Christian rock/pop band. They combine elements of pop, rock, classic rock and worship to create a sound that competes with mainstream trends, but also allows them to be unique, with modern musical elements and a multiple harmonic classic rock vocals vibe. This blend is the like-minded vision of both founder/drummer Chad Hampton and lead singer Matthew Ide. Demonstrating Matt’s vocal range and harmonic abilities we feel is the key to helping ATU stand out from other similar Christian artists.
Their mission is simple: To reach those who are hurting, those who are lost, those seeking happiness or a solution to their troubles, and even those who just need encouragement from God through the message in the music He’s given them to share.
What music inspires you the most (Christian or secular)? Name your favorites.
Honestly, we have influences from both Christian/CCM as well as secular. For example, our main influences consist of Newsboys, dc Talk, Audio Adrenaline on the CCM side & Queen, Beach Boys & Fall Out Boy on the secular side.
How has making music made a difference in your Christian walk?
I think that for us, it's given us a chance to fulfill our calling and giftings that we've been blessed with by God. It's given us focus & a greater purpose in life.
What do you do to stay sharp with your God given skills? Do you have a daily routine?
Well, I know we all try and get in our respective practice/rehearsal time on our own so that we're improving and staying sharp. (Chad) I know myself, personally, I'd love to have more time to practice and be on the drums than what I have now. I'm working on my schedule to better accommodate a more frequent, productive schedule. It's difficult as I am the lead business guy in the band & I'm doing other work for the band, besides my instrument, during the week.
What projects are you working on now? What are your hopes for them?
We're in the process of writing our new album right now. We're looking at a full-length album project for this new project with a mix of songs to appeal to a multitude of ages and listeners. Upbeat songs, rock heavy songs, ballads & even some acoustic & EDM style remixes.
What is your favorite Bible verse that inspires you to praise God through music?
(Chad) The two I use the most, both for myself as well as for the band are Mathew 6:33 and Philippians 4:13. Both mean a great deal to me for different reasons.

My band's banger single, From Now to Eternity, from the recently released EP, Patient Chill (which I produced and am promoting), has been accepted for air play on a Swedish FM radio station, PulsFM. The track will be played twice daily beginning on January 3rd. Check out band's website, listen to the music on your favorite streaming platform and just keep calm and listen!
This is the actual bible verse of Luke 2:14, the angels proclaiming: “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!” We have so many misconceptions about what God's Word says and we have twisted Scripture in order to create a god of our own desires--a universal sky daddy that offers unconditional love to humanity without repentance in the name of Christ.
We are still AT WAR
Acoustic/rocker Tehdi Durham swoops in quite unexpectedly on Christmas Eve to thankfully remind us of the fact that, even though the gift of God the Father to humanity through the birth of his only begotten son, Jesus Christ, is a marvelous miracle to behold, the end game as far as the unsaved world is concerned is still not over. Those of us who have been redeemed, who love the brethren (1 John 3:14), must prayerfully continue to be a witness and a testimony to a dying planet that God's gift for salvation is conditional upon calling to the Lord in prayer and repentance or turning from sin with the help of God's grace and the gift of the Holy Spirit. YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN! JOHN 3:7
Rapper Roman Tilus has a new EP drop out called, Deviant, which I review. It is a collection in hip hop fashion that reminds us we are all 'conceived in sin and shapen in iniquity' (Psalm 51:5) and that it is only by God's mercy and grace that we can inherit the kingdom. Check out some live footage of him performing.
My band, Patient Chill, will be releasing the rest of their EP on Monday, December 28. Click hereto see singer, Anshu Jha, doing some interpretive dance for the title track.

I feel like I should pass out cigars. My band Patient Chill's first song, From Now to Eternity, is officially out and poised to take India by storm! You read that right. Let me explain...
Shifting Hemispheres
So I followed the awesome singer, Anshu Jha, back to her native land even though she now hails from Sydney, and I found that not only is it more affordable to social media market in that country of 1.3 billion users where Spotify launched two years ago, but the Snapchat is deeper and wider than the Ganges! They are seemingly hungry for Christian themed music, unlike the West which is bloated on First Noels and the like. I haven't even spent 1500 Rupees yet ($20 US) and already I've managed to get almost 2000 visits to patientchill.com to promote the song and the rest of the album which you should pre-save RIGHT NOW!
Meanwhile, closer to home, good old fashioned Christian rapper, Darius Monroe, drops a beat on the court with his dope video, One of Them Greats. Honestly, speaking from a former world traveller's perspective, there's no place like the neighborhood basketball court to make me homesick for the hood where I grew up in Detroit. Give a look and a listen.
And nothing cures the post-release music blues like a great box of Christmas chocolates which I compare to blogging and life in general a la Forrest Gump in a blog post. Thanks MB for the treats!

John is an accomplished lyricist and published wordsmith who has finally turned his ‘way with words’ into a musical marvel, taking otherwise straightforward melodies and transforming them into verbal images that attempt to glorify God. He brings diverse talents together in a spirit of hope and happiness. And if that doesn’t work, he adds a few spoken words and signature guitar riffs into the mix!
